CREinFocus Welcomes Mark Nicholls as CEO

Mark NichollsMark Nicholls is a globally adept, collaborative executive who inspires teams to create dramatic business change. He is distinguished by his unique ability to apply analytics to human problems. Mark thrives on large scale business challenges where anticipation of long-term consequences is essential. He leads with clear vision and expectations while taking into account divergent points of view in reaching final decisions. With high energy, intellectual curiosity, and genuine ability to coach others, he develops and exports talent throughout every organization he has led.

At Bank of America, he not only led the Human Resources Global Technology and Operations but also directed the bank’s real estate portfolio, the 2nd largest in the United States. After 5 major acquisitions between 2004 and 2008, the portfolio had grown from 40 million to 120 million square feet and included 6 data centers and 8,000 retail branches as well as significant office space in 37 countries. In his real estate role, he introduced a flexible workplace environment that improved employee satisfaction and productivity and helped the bank meet its sustainability goals. In addition, he led the construction of the world’s first LEED Platinum skyscraper in New York City, which has won numerous prestigious awards. In his human resources role, he was accountable for more than 30,000 people worldwide in Technology, Operations, Legal Services, the Latin America Region, and Six Sigma.

Previously, Mark served as Vice President of Human Resources at Allied Signal/Honeywell at Corporate Headquarters where he was deeply involved in the acquisition of Honeywell by Allied Signal and the proposed sale of Honeywell to General Electric.

One Bryant Place NYCMark has an MBA from the University of Georgia and a BSBA in Organization Development from Bowling Green State University and holds a Six Sigma Black Belt. He serves on the Board of Jobs for Americas Graduates, a national non-profit assisting at-risk students in overcoming barriers to success. In 2009, Mark was a USGBC Gala Honoree in New York City for outstanding contributions to greener urban environments.

His specializations of expertise, so germane to the development and evolution of CREinFocus, include leadership functions in Fortune 500 companies including: corporate real estate, human resources, leadership development, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain and procurement, sustainability, and security.
